At last some sun! After having nothing but grey cloud and rain for the last few weeks, last weekend’s glorious sunshine was a very welcomed friend and came just at the right time to lift our spirits and get us excited for all the summertime feels, including our summer ensembles!
I absolutely adore the sunshine, just a simple glimmer of it makes everything seem so much brighter, positive and prettier. I’ve been waiting for what feels like an endless winter to leave so I can turn my wardrobe into a haven of summer essentials, starting with this floral Chiffon dress from Pink Blush.
My favourite thing about this Pink Blush maternity dress is the feeling of weightlessness you get whilst wearing it. For anybody who knows how heavy growing a little person inside your tummy can be, you will know that any form of feeling lighter is a pregnancy must have.
The chiffon design is also so lightweight and breathable, perfect for those hot, heavily pregnant summer days, even my Husband made a comment on how comfortable I looked!
The second thing I adore about this dress is the colour. It’s a very subtle beige with the prettiest floral pattern, making it very easy to pair with most coloured footwear. The minute I saw that sun shining through our windows, I just knew it was time to debut my new peach wedges as the colour would compliment the dress perfectly.
The shorter length of this dress meant that I could really show them off and the extra height the wedge gave to my legs, made them appear longer and more shapely, I’m always one for longer looking legs, even if it is created by optical illusion!
I’m hoping that this is the last maternity dress I’ll wear now as I’m now into my 39th week of pregnancy we’re hoping Baby Ryder No.2 will make her appearance into the world very shortly! I cannot wait to wear this dress again during the summer as even without a bump it’s such a beautiful design.
I hope you’ve enjoyed reading my “Maternity Seasonal Style Series”, I know I’ve loved writing it.
Wishing you a beautiful week!
Love,
