Morgan Rose’s Nursery Reveal

I’ve been waiting so long to share with you all the details of this beautiful little space we’ve created for our Morgan Rose and am so excited that the day is finally here for the big nursery reveal!

More than anything I wanted her nursery to be light, airy and DREAMY!

Here’s a few pictures of the room before so you can see the transformation:

Being the smallest room in the house I knew I had to focus on light, pastel colours to open up the space and so I chose Laura Ashley’s White Dove Grey paint for the walls. It’s a pretty shade of light, almost white pastel grey and only took two coats to achieve the desired look.

To create the dreamy element I so eagerly wanted for this room, I used the sensational “Bella” removable wallpaper from Rocky Mountain Decals and let this stunning print be my inspiration and starting point for the rest of the nursery decor.

Having fallen head over heels in love with this wallpaper a few months earlier whilst scrolling for inspiration on Rocky Mountains Instagram account, I was absolutely blown away by just how incredibly stunning it is in real life.

It took my Father in law no time to put it up, having worked with standard wallpapers that require paste he was really impressed at just how easy this was to put up.

I love how effortless decals are to apply, with their easy installation you literally just peel and stick! No glue, no mess, no professional installation required.

They’re also fully removable, won’t damage your walls and are completely reusable so you can use them over and over again!

Once the wallpaper was up, everything started to come together so beautifully! I opted for a soft white faux sheep skin rug from Ikea to break up the carpet and add a little texture to the room. We also have a blackout blind in Amelie’s room which works perfectly and so was over the moon to find this Ikea roller blind in the perfect shade of peach to tie in with the watercolour wallpaper.

We added coving to the ceilings to give the room a more sophisticated look.

The next part of accessorising the nursery was with lighting and can we just take a minute to appreciate the whimsical beauty of this feathered lampshade of dreams! I literally squealed when I found it in B&Q at only a fraction of the price I was expecting too.

Soooo dreamy!

Then it was time to create the changing station. I think if you’re going to be doing such a gross task you should be doing it in a pretty environment! We were very fortunate in that all of Amelie’s Mamas and Papas furniture was in immaculate condition and so we were able to use it all again for Morgan.

I knew that I wanted either a gallery wall or a shelf style gallery above the changing unit and so after playing with a few ideas decided on this little shelf from Ikea which is just the right size to compliment the space.

I accessorised it with two botanical style quoted prints from @freddiethekid, a little wooden flower that Amelie had picked out to buy her sister as her first present and a small silver diffuser bottle that I had kept after the scent ran out and popped a little faux pink peony in the top.

I have to say my favourite thing about this corner is the incredibly beautiful pompom garland by @heartsanddelights_nurserydecor. Made in the prettiest pastel shades from the most gorgeous tulle, Jenny worked with me to help chose the correct width, size and colours for my garland. I’m absolutely over the moon with the result.

You can find more of Jenny’s beautiful garlands here.

I then set about adding a few little personal touches to her nursery. As we loved the wallpaper so much, we decided to use some of its cut offs to create our own art work.

I’d recommend this to anyone using decals as it’s such a creative way to make something so unique that works so well with the rest of the nursery interior.

This was so easy to create and I’m so happy with the way it turned out. The stunning silver monogram name sign is from @arialilydesigns, I was so impressed by the quality of the sign and how pretty it looks against the floral wallpaper.

I’m also a massive fan of pretty initial art work, we had one made for Amelie’s room and so was absolutely blown away when my Sister In Law presented me with this gorgeous gift at my baby shower!

Hand made with so much love and in the most perfect pastel florals it’s the most wonderful addition to Morgan’s nursery. You can find more of Vickie’s stunning creations on Instagram here @homecraft_.

I can’t even begin to tell you how incredibly happy I am with the final result of the nursery, I never thought I’d be able to create the nursery of my dreams in such a small space!

I know you will all love it just as much as we do, this room really is my happy place and instantly makes me feel like I’m in a sanctuary of dreams!
