Our bedroom was probably the hardest room in the home to get right.
Scott and I wanted to encapsulate all the glamour of Paris whilst still giving our bedroom a soothing, calm like feel.
After much deliberation, we finally opted for soft chalky cream walls, a damask feature wall with gold, bronze and taupe accessories.

For us, our bedroom is our sanctuary. A place for us to switch off from the world and completely relax.
I personally love timeless bedroom decor but I do love a trend or two!
I found that you’re always faced with so much choice when you begin designing any room, so I thought I’d do some of the work for you!
Here are my top six bedroom designs that are a mixture of modern, classic, chic, simplistic and just all round beautiful and easy to recreate!
Enjoy!
1. Pretty In Peach
A pallet full of peach was a massive hit back in the 70’s and it’s slowly making it’s way back into our homes. Now I’m not for one minute suggesting you find yourselves the most salmon looking paint and cover your entire bedroom in it! But adding subtle blushes of peach within your accessories I feel works really well with walls of cool greys and whimsical whites.
2. The Moody Blue
This trend has been around for a while but hasn’t really grown on me until now. I personally wasn’t sure if I’d be able to totally unwind in a room so dark. I’m one of those annoying types, you know the ones that have to have everything bright and uplifting! But I’ve since come to love this look.
I feel that accessories are imperative to get this look right. A mix of dusky pinks and golds are the perfect partners to inject a little feminity.
3. Soft & Scandi
I think I’ll always love the ever so understated Scandinavian vibe for absolutely any room of the house. It’s so effortlessly stunning, this perfectly put together space makes me feel calm by just looking at it! I’m sure that if you opt for this bedroom design you’ll always be treated to a restful night.
4. The Tribe Vibe
Tribal and Tropical, this style has it all!
It’s funky, fun and will always make you think of your jollys! I for one cannot look at a single palm leaf print without imagining the sea breeze in my hair and the sand between my toes.
5. Retro Hotel Chic
A hotel away from home? Nope, a home that feels like a hotel! From matching bedside tables to lampshades that twin, this very millennial decor will keep you sleeping in style all night long.
6. The Boudoir Bedroom
And last but by no means least we have probably my favourite bedroom style. I love everything about this look, from the mix of textures within the soft furnishings to the mounted bedside lights.
This look just oozes sophistication and is probably the easiest to create. Update your current headboard to a deep-buttoned one, add multiple cushions and a chandelier style light fitting and hey presto you’ve got yourself a boudoir bedroom fit for a queen!
So there you have it six master bedroom decor designs to inspire and help get your inner interior designer juices flowing!
Love,
