Holidaying At Hoburne

Last month Scott and I decided that we needed a little break from our crazy norm. We wanted to get away, breathe in some fresh sea air and create memories with the girls that would last a lifetime.

We’d always dreamt of being a family of four so going on our first family holiday was a big deal for us! Our friends were currently holidaying at Hoburne when I began my UK holiday destination search.

It looked so lovely from her videos that I stopped my search and began stalking the Hoburne website. Well that was it, I was sold and Scott was too!

We decided to begin our holiday with a little seaside stop and headed straight for New Milton beach. This beautiful, peaceful Sandy beach was all ours for the afternoon!

We adventured down the short walk to the sea with a spring in our step. I’ve never seen Amelie so full of excitement, it was truly wonderful!

The beach itself was stunning! We lost ourselves whilst dancing in the sea, collecting shells and drawing in the sand!

Before we knew it it was 3pm and ready for check in! We jumped back in the car and made the short journey back up to the caravan site, to find our home for the next few days.

Filled with rows of charming caravans and stunning lodges, Hoburne was the quintessential British holiday setting I’d imagined.

We checked in and excitedly set about finding our caravan. Keys in hand and optimism in heart, Amelie lead the way. When we walked into the caravan it was perfectly pleasant, the decor was quite modern and it was a good size, but unfortunately somewhere down the line our caravan had been missed of the cleaning list!

I won’t say anymore on this matter as the team at Hoburne, particularly the assistant manager quickly turned the situation around.

We were given heartfelt apologies, money off our first dinner and the most incredible upgrade on our caravan! Derek was in my opinion a credit to the Hoburne team. Nothing was too much, he even carried Morgan’s cot across from the previous caravan!

Well let me tell you, the minute we walked into the second caravan I cried. I couldn’t help it, I was just so overwhelmed by the kindness we had experienced from Derek and how absolutely stunning the caravan was.

I’d never seen anything like it, the decor was beautiful. It reminded me of a home, styled by an interior designer. I honestly didn’t know that such modest caravans could be transformed and given such a luxury feel to them, it was better than stating in a hotel!

Once we’d unpacked and calmed down from all the excitement we headed out for a bite to eat and to check out the entertainment!

The entertainment didn’t disappoint, Amelie was in her element and even won ”Best dancer” and Scott loved getting involved in all the games, even bingo!

There was even a little soft play, an arcade and a park all within the Hoburne complex.

Day two we decided to go to the swimming pool! Morgan went swimming for the first time and Amelie showed us how to be a mermaid!

It made us so proud seeing our little water babies and made us realise just how important undivided family time really is!

As Hoburne was only a short drive away from Bournemouth, we headed there for our next adventure.

We were met by another gorgeous beach, authentic arcades and delicious food!

By day three we were really enjoying our time away and if I’m honest I didn’t want to leave! In an attempt to prevent our holiday blues we visited a quaint fishing town on the way back home.

Lymington definitely lifted our spirits! We went in search of crabs, enjoyed the stunning array of boats and tucked into the freshest fish and chip lunch I’ve ever had!

It was bliss! I can honestly say that I was the most relaxed I’ve been since having Morgan. Our gorgeous Hoburne home as well as the idyllic scenery and the best company made our first family holiday unforgettable.
