Would you believe me if I told you this was the second time I’ve worn a skirt in the last ten years and felt comfortable in it?
Well that’s the truth! I’ve always hidden my legs away in jeans, leggings and more recently jeggings (apparently it’s a pregnancy thing) but I’ve decided to do away with the jeans now and again and replace them with feminine, swooshy skirts that make my heart skip a beat!
Matalan has been one of my favourite shops forever! I remember shopping there when I was younger and getting so excited about all the styles, colours and accessories, nothings changed really I still get super excited at the door!
I not only shop there for myself but for Scott and the girl’s clothes too.
I’m really into animal print this season. It’s been one of the hottest trends this year so far. Everyone wants a piece of the animal action, including myself!
Snake print, in particular, has been a real winner, partly because of it’s neural tones making it the perfect partner to work it and because if I’m honest it’s a welcome change to my beloved leopard print look.
Ok so getting back to the skirt! I’ve never really found a one that was the right length for me. They’ve always either been too short, resulting in me avoiding them at all costs for fear of overexposing areas of my body that should never ever be exposed! Or that are just below the knee length that has made me look like I’m off to the office for the day, but this pretty pleated midi is absolutely perfect for me! Not to mention the waistband is so flattering. Clinching me in just at the right place, making it so comfortable to wear.
I decided to compliment this stunning skirt With Matalan’s Bardot Cable Jumper in grey. It has to have the most flattering neckline I’ve ever seen in knitwear. It’s so cosy and stylish when worn just off the shoulder. It also looks fab with jeans and boots too.
Speaking of boots, my black Chelsea boots have to be the comfiest heeled boots I’ve ever owned. A true staple for any wardrobe, dressing up any outfit in an instant!
